My second assignment for Ashleigh Warner's class on CGMA "Creating Stylized Game Assets" ( https://www.cgmasteracademy.com/courses/143-creating-stylized-game-assets)

The assignment was to create a 2.5D scene, one that uses a fixed camera angle like Hades, Diablo, Battlechasers etc, that contained a tree and at least one other small plant. I played around with some different tree ideas before setting on something simpler in scope so that I could add more complexity and props to the scene overall and I decided to try and aim towards the Battlechasers style. This was a great opportunity to focus heavily on composition and strong concept painting before chopping it up to serve as a base for the final textures. The scene as a whole uses four 2048 maps, though most of the sheets could likely survive easily at 1024 or possibly at 512. The project had a deadline of a week, and I repainted the bushes completely for a few hours later on after receiving feedback in class.
